[Bug 408865] Re: Cannot copy from windows share
Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. This bug did not have a package associated with it, which is important for ensuring that it gets looked at by the proper developers. You can learn more about finding the right package at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Bugs/FindRightPackage. I have classified this bug as a bug in samba. ** Package changed: ubuntu = samba (Ubuntu) -- Cannot copy from windows share https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/408865 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Server Team, which is subscribed to samba in ubuntu. -- Ubuntu-server-bugs mailing list Ubuntu-server-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-server-bugs

[Bug 420729] Re: squid stable permissions problems with log files
issue was resolved with chmod 777 for /var/log folder and after that debug mode was started and service started too! After chmod i implement chown to folder with root:root and no further problems were found, so SQUID is now working and configured successfully. Proxy server tested with 2 PCs(one with Wi-fi adapter) acording to acl all resolved. Thank you for your unswer! [Bug 421350] [NEW] Keyboard navigation with PgUp/PgDn doesn't move selection
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: nautilus When navigating folders containing many files, Page Up and Page Down keys behavior is inconsistent with arrow keys. Arrows move the selection to the next file, and if needed, scroll the viewport so it is visible. However, PgUp/PgDn simply scroll the viewport, not switching the selection. Therefore, if I press down arrow after several PgDn presses, meaning to advance the viewport one line further, it jumps back to where the original selected file was. This is inconsistent with, for example, text editors and browsers. [Bug 253422] Re: Realtek ALC883 speakers don't mute when headphones plugged in
Still a problem for me, on Acer Aspire 5050 with Ubuntu Jaunty 9.04, after trying a bunch of values for model= . ' Basically, with the best profile I found I was able to independently control and mute speaker and headphone volume, but none detected the headphones (manual muting was required). Speakers DON'T work. acer, 6stack-dig - Speakers on Surround channel, headphones on Front. Either can be independently muted, but only manually (no automatic speaker muting). Headphone switch doesn't work. 3stack - can't get speakers to work. Headphones switch doesn't work. Headphones do work. 3stack-dig - speakers work, but don't mute with headphones plugged in. Same problem here. Using a fresh and updated Karmic install on an HP laptop with Mobile Intel GMA 4500MHD video card. However, it doesn't happen always. In my last test, I had two terminals open and was able to switch. Then I opened Firefox, and couldn't switch anymore. When the problem does happen, nothing crashes. [Bug 418509] Re: [Karmic] Hangs during shutdown with kernel 2.6.31-7
I thought everything had been resolved for me having updated to 2.6.31-8. However... if I delete a couple of files using Nautilus and then go for a system shutdown I get the warning message that Nautilus is still deleting files (even though it actually finished). Same goes for copying files... a shutdown will report Nautilus is still busy copying. Forcing a shutdown leads to the same 'superblock inconsistency' issue on reboot and the need for an fsck. The superblock issue is that it has found a timestamp one hour (exactly) in the future... strange one this. Anyway, none of this happened prior to this bug so I am concluding that there is... (a) either an outstanding issue directly related to this bug or (b) that the original bug caused an inconsistency in my filesystem and/or configuration causing the Nautilus errors and superblock inconsistencies. -- [Karmic] Hangs during shutdown with kernel 2.6.31-7 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/418509 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 406095] Re: [Jaunty] Sound only through second headphone jack. HDA-Intel on HP HDX9000
Hi Andres, I have tested the latest upsteam kernel available as you requested. Unfortunately the latest kernel here (http://kernel.ubuntu.com/~kernel-ppa/mainline/v2.6.31-rc8/) would make the unit hang at bootup so I used the latest daily build (from here http://kernel.ubuntu.com/~kernel-ppa/mainline/daily/current/ ). There appears to be no change when using this updated kernel. Sound is still output from the 2 headphone jacks only. Thanks -- [Jaunty] Sound only through second headphone jack.
