Yes, I see that this was too late for yakkety and was rejected there so
I re-uploaded it now for zesty. Once it's accepted into zesty, I believe
you can actually get it into yakkety as a Stable Release Update or
through Backports.

Another confirmation: Y Y 16.10 finally works on Toshiba Chromebook 2
(2015). Bugs were partially overridden using external DVD drive through
USB 2.0 instead of flash or SD card drive. "help" after boot was helpful
too. It took couple days to figure to use DVD drive ;)

When kill is called with a negative argument, incorrect parsing can lead it to
call sys_kill(-1), thus sending a signal to all permitted processes on the
system. A couple of users have hit this while deploying Hadoop, which seems to
tickle this - basically killing
Detecting that you're in KVM is definitely not the same thing as
detecting that port redirection is in use.
I don't launch my KVM guests from the commandline using redir, I launch
them under libvirt virt virt-manager, and the current instructions are
correct for me...

The latest Yakkety kernel now also has all the updates that are in
upstream 4.8 final. Can you apply the latest updates and see if this
bug still exits?

Note that the systemd dependencies shown for cloud-init in xenial (on
which Ubuntu Core 16 is based) don't match those listed in the bug
description. Instead, xenial currently has:

Here's the thing,
I'm on 16.10 which has the debian equiv listed as stretch/sid and my
network-manager version is 1.2.4-0ubuntu1.
Looking at Debian stretch and sid, they have network-manager packages in
various versions but not 1.2.4.
Furthermore, since Ubuntu employ their own patches,
Status changed to 'Confirmed' because the bug affects multiple users.
