Well, that's weird. I did two installation tests and couldn't reproduce
*that* behavior:
1. With pre-existing BIOS install, fresh boot in UEFI mode
2. With pre-existing UEFI install, fresh boot in BIOS mode
In both cases, I got the erase disk option.
That said, I wonder if your issue isn't

This was fixed upstream in 3.3.2 which is in Noble. It's so minor, I
don't think it's worth the backport ;)

[ Impact ]
Invoking reflection via the observer API on a class with an attribute
annotation causes a dangling pointer and segmentation fault. Certain PHP
extensions may register an observer of an attribute instantiation using
reflection.
Just updated the package from noble-proposed and the file is there with
the agreed value.
