This error happens if a second instance of unclutter is started and
triggers the first time. The original process seems to become a zombie
under some circumstances.

JFTR: There are tons of other browers in Ubuntu which are even above the
discussed 70 as used by Debian:

AFAIK screen -ls considers a screen session dead at least when the
server crashed but the socket is still there.
I wonder if the opposite (SCREEN server still there as your ps output
shows, but the socket is gone) could be a reason, too, i.e. if the move
from /var/run to /run could be the cause.

I don't think that's an issue with unclutter.
unclutter is only involved if the cursor vanishes after the mouse isn't
moved for a few seconds or if a key is pressed.
But according to the original report, the mouse cursor isn't seen at all
(at least over some windows) and according to #23
JFTR: This fix is included in the latest upstream release 4.2.1 which is
currently available in Debian Experimental and will be uploaded to
Debian Unstable soonish. It should propagate to Ubuntu Utopic
automatically soon afterwards.

Serge: Precise has 4.0.3-14ubuntu8 and u7 and u8 just fix two crashes
and the supported $TERM length. So I see no obvious reason why this
issue should be vanished in Precise if it was present in Natty.

Installing mongodb package via aptitude destroys Cinnamon install
To
aptitude and apt-get are not equivalent. Aptitude remembers what you
wanted to install or uninstall and it tries to get to that state again.
So if you installed software with aptitude, but remove them by other
means, aptitude may still remember that you previously wanted that
software installed.
think that large portion of Ubuntu users uses Ubuntu via SSH from
Android clients.
