I don't think there is an easy way, the kernel seems to be missing the required
mirror module. I've heard that the desktop version might have this module
built-in, but cannot confirm this (it might be a myth).
I have resorted to a software raid instead, as I couldn't get the
controller

I did some test today. I disabled Speed Step and Powersaving Features in the
bios, but neither helped.
Then i disabled acpi in grub and the freezing disappeared.

Similar issue with Xubuntu 11.04. The USB keyboard does not work after
reboot. Mouse works OK. To get the keyboard working have to flip the
switch on the power supply. Previous distros had no issues with the
same setup.

I got this problem on HP ProLiant DL 360 g5 when I install Ubuntu 10.11
when initializing eth0 a got message (dmesg log) about not loaded firmware
bnx2/bnx2-mips-06.6.2.1.fw
But this file is present.
Finnaly I managed to switch subwoofer on with hda_analyzer tool.

make sure that touch points are removed from it, and only then call
translateRawTouch on the saved copy. This is to ensure that if
translateRawTouch re-enters the event loop, we don't get into and

I just wanted to notice, that I successfully installed nouveau kernel
module in Karmic from git using 2.6.30 patch. So far it works.

I tried to copy some music to my iRiver T50 player, but during copying
it suddenly disappeared from the system. Thunar (which I used for
copying files) brought up a message saying there was an I/O error, and
the player displayed it was still transfering files.
