Hi Doug
One solution, which would keep these badges both out of the
unity-greeter package and out of the various desktop packages,
would be to package the badges available at [3] together
in a single package. I am an experienced Debian maintainer and
plan to create such a package soon.

@Daniel: Yes, I'll do that soon. It should probably go via

@Doug: In debian/control you have:

Is the dependency on unity-greeter the correct way around? I think ultimately
you would want unity-greeter
Ugh, I wrote previously that the conflicts/replaces should be on =
2.3.4-7, but that isn't correct. Motif 2.3.4-7 will no longer contain
custom_mwm_badge.png, so the conflicts/replaces should be on = 2.3.4-6
or = 2.3.4-6~ (I'll need to double check that).

I've seen error messages like this one in many unrelated packages.
Could possibly be a truncated/corrupted download, or insufficient disk space.
Does removing and re-installing the package solve the problem?

[xorg-edgers] nvidia-graphics-drivers-331 and newer should recommend
nvidia-modprobe
Public bug reported:
This package is needed as a dependency of nvidia-graphics-drivers-* and
of nvidia-graphics-drivers-*-updates (main), so that applications making
use of CUDA or Nvidia's OpenCL ICD can load the nvidia-uvm driver

Report:
I've managed to build beignet 1.0.1-1 on vivid by forcing llvm 3.5 as per the
attached debdiff.
Should I upload this as 1.0.1-1ubuntu1 or can you suggest a better solution?
** Patch added: force llvm 3.5

(LP: #1371287,
is the Conflicts field enough? No break or replaces, right?
Yes, Conflicts is a stronger restriction than Breaks/Replaces.
In most circumstances Breaks is preferred, but Conflicts should be used when
two packages provide the same file and will continue to do so.
