May I ask what the rational for this decision was?
It seems very confusing that the mouse can be in the center of the
Ubuntu button, yet the launcher refuses to show itself. I just reported
Bug #748897 before realising this was considered a feature.

Assuming this is the same issue as on the Ask Ubuntu question, it seems
the problem was that the Software Centre could not download the file
from the Canonical server.
I think flashplugin-installer should contain a fallback mechanism for
cases like this, rather than continually trying and getting
