I can and have compared them. The results were identical.

uninstall/install to find out as it is a minor issue.

While trying to upload some videos to Google+ my hard drive went insane,
Unity crashed, then X and now X won't start!
I can find no logical reason why this happened, nor do I have any idea
how to fix it.
I have ran fsck on all the partitions and tried setting X to the

Not sure if this is helpful, given the environment it was running in,
but under failsafe X with the 3.5 kernel then this bug still exists.

I got my system working again by:
1. Loading failsafe X
2. Downloading and installing the latest fglrx
3. Rebooted (but then Wine wouldn't start - this is usually a sign that fglrx
is NOT installed)
4. Installed the fglrx-updates packages
5. Rebooted
I'm back to normal for now AFAICT. This
