notify-osd which only happens when the window manager is metacity(when
compiz is turned off).

sorry for marking this invalid as this was changed from a papercut to
empathy(upstream) so I marked it invalid and did not had a thorough view

and this is an empathy issue as I reproduced this with both gnome-

into empathy and then logged into pidgin with the same account. pidgin
empathy disconnected and now it has been 30minutes since I am waiting
