Having a workaround doesn't lessen the severity of the bug. My wife
would rather stop using Ubuntu (she's a recent Ubuntu adopter) and
reboot into Windows to use Skype for international calls than having to
fiddle with the CLI.

I can also confirm that this issue still persists, even after 13.04 got
released. I am now on NVIDIA Driver Version: 319.17, and the behavior is
exactly the same -- go into suspend, come out of suspend, and -- only
then -- can the brightness can be adjusted.

The Unity Dash Application Lens displays icons in a very inconsistent
way. They're mostly too large, but recently, tiny icons of existing
applications are also shown. This started in 12.10 and has carried over
into the current iteration of 13.04

When running a full-screen VM (based on virtual box here) on the second
monitor, and the VM has focus, the panel indicator apps on the first
monitor do no longer work. They do respond to mouse-clicks and seem to
be selected, but they never open as expected.

I have since restarted my laptop multiple times; I am wondering whether

repo checked in Softare Sources, and I assume it would have been
