I realised it ony happens for scribus, and no more on scribus-ng...
I think it not worse to spend time to solve that, it scribus will be shortly
obselete, and scribus ng is working

I've updated today the hal version mentioned above, and try fn keys
first with the latest nvclock b4 that has now been released, and because
it didn't work, I tried then with smartdimmer after uninstalling
nvclock, doesn't work...

possible to make hal use the nvclock binary for geforce8+ cards ?
The working nvclock binary is now released and working. So user could install
nvclock pkg and have fn keys working... better than nothing...

There is a loop in the bug report, so I don't know what is the right for me...
Would it be possible to set the importance from the bug from hal... I think if
jaunty comes out without acpi-support for geforce-cards on vaio, samsung and
others, there will be a lot of user that won't be able to use

So I've tried to have that problem fixed upstream in the kernel, but
kernel developper think it is a bios bug, or a platform driver issue...
I'm trying to have it fixed since intrepid, and reported from nvidia to
hal to devicekit to kernel... and each time nothing before release...
Do
Upstream, the kernel team is saying that it is a platform driver issue
or bios... sony is not supporting linux, so I think the only way to have
it fix before 2050 is to bring the nvidia driver to manage backlight
(also in /sys and /proc) so adding nvidia pkg to the report...

backlight not appearing in sysfs nor laptop_panel in lshal for s

I've followed the instructions from the README.keymap, and run the following
command :
sudo /lib/udev/keymap -i input/event4 (event4 is a module)
this returned the following
scan code: 0x00 key code: brightnessdown
scan code: 0x10 key co

I experience problems with backlight. the nouveau driver, seems to have
done something for it, but the code is from the day before the git
release packaged currently under karmic...
