We've had several people verify the fix's functionality. Of course,
with this kind of thing, there may be other hardware factors involved.
In this case, we identified that the bug occurs because of a race
condition with logind also handling lid-close events. The fix makes
sure that only
I'd investigate if the same issue occurs with just locking and
unlocking. Lock your screen from the Lock Screen button in the menu,
and then log back in. Let's try without suspending and see if the same
problem occurs.

HDMI and Screen On Event Patch
I think I figured out the failure in the logic. You are right, since we
are clearing the caches in that particular function, it makes sense to
make sure they are truly freed.
The above fix uncovered another issue with the order of events
