Audio CD are not detected while data CD and data DVD are detected.
When I insert a data CD or DVD I have a notification and I see the CD in files.
With audio CD nothing happens.
Also empty CD and DVD are not detected.
No problem on same PC, different partition with Ubuntu

Done some more test installing Ubuntu 18.04 LTS "Bionic Beaver" - Alpha amd64
(20171126)
on various partitions of same disk on my PC:
Problem does NOT occur with live session
Problem does NOT occur with an installation in us-english - installation default
problem DOES occur with an installation
After some more test with Ubuntu 17.10 and the last daily of Ubuntu 18.04 Bionic
On same hardware, different partitions:
If during the installation I'm connected to internet I HAVE the problem
If during the installation I'm NOT connected to internet I DO NOT HAVE the
problem
Seems crazy?

Note: I always have the problem with .webm videos and sometimes with .mp4
I have some very small (200-300kB) video to reproduce the problem, if needed I
may attach them (zipped?)

I still have the problem in Ubuntu Bionic
I ran totem under apitrace (apitrace trace --api gl totem 960x720.webm) and
obtained a trace of the problem. I attach the trace hoping it will be useful.
Let me know if you need more doc.
