I have too this problem with ubuntu 12.04 and ubuntu 12.10
chrome, chomium and midori crash on some websites (like french ubuntu forum
where you can connect with a password)

Epiphany works (maybe beause of the use of gtk3). I didn't try with
midori-gtk3.
For me the only solution is to go back to libgcrypt11 1.4.3
With this, chrome, midori, chromium works nicely in ubuntu 12.04

I tried the workaround (LD_PRELOAD=/usr/lib/i386-linux-
gnu/mesa/libGL.so.1 skype) but it didn't help
The solution is to use the libqtwebkit4 package from quantal and then it works
So it shoud be a bug from libqtwebkit4 i presume

Tried on xubuntu 14.04 trusty and i got same error
Try adding ppa xfce 4.12 with parole 0.5.9 and the problem is still
present

With 3.6.0-0ubuntu1.1~ubuntu12.10.1~ppa1 there is a 0 octet file recorded and
we have this this message on the console
Cannot connect to server socket err = Aucun fichier ou dossier de ce type
Cannot connect to server request channel
jack server is not running or cannot be started
(cheese:2078):
For me on quantal 32bits network and trash icons are never shown in thunar
The only solution is to kill the thunar daemon as it's said in this bug report
and then it's ok
