purpose. bootup now waits for fsck, even for mounts specified with
nobootwait. even if fs_passno is set higher than 2. login is

vlc worked great on the liveCD, and worked great after install to hard
disc. then i ran apt-get update. after that, maya(precise) vlc is
hosed too. not doing padsp, just plain vlc. same problem as above, vlc

i am running gnucash(2.6.12) in a xenial container. gnucash works by
and large, but preferences cannot be changed. i just found this, and
just installed dbus-x11. it installed alone, didn't pull in anything
additional. i stopped and started the container and fired up gnucash.

Thinking perhaps my minimal packageset might be excluding something, i
just installed lubuntu-desktop. i start the container, launch a bare
vncserver, then "lxsession -s Lubuntu", then gnucash. Preferences still
cannot be changed.

solved. $HOME/.config had been owned by root, thus was unwriteable.
the problem was found when i installed kubuntu-desktop and launched
startkde, which reported that $HOME/.config was unwriteable. perhaps
gnucash might consider emitting such a message.

have been using biopic without issue for well over a year, no issue with
either gnome-session-flashback or twm, twm has the functionality i
