Public bug reported: Binary package hint: xsane Xsane is really slow at saving files. The problem looks like it's caused by the high frequence of update of the progress bar. Here's a patch against 0.99+0.991-1ubuntu2 that fixes the problem. A patch has also been submitted upstream.
