I know this bug is just for one file but on normal computers like a dual
core with 2 gig RAM an import of 15.000 photos is not possible because
all available RAM and swap is eaten by the import. I think this is not
necessary because during the first step of the import photos are already
imported

This is strange. Now F-spot has no problem importing the image from the
imgur.com link in my bug report.
