The adaption of Onboard to GNOME Shell has been our focus since the
announcement of Ubuntu switching to GNOME for 17.10. For the reasons outlined
by marmuta in this thread, a full integration of the python based Onboard into
GNOME Shell seems very difficult, if not impossible.

According to the maintainer of gdm in gnome, at-spi-registryd is
active by default if the configuration is set up to enable the
accessibility modules.
On my setup and on another persons setup (I am talking about gutsy; I
have not checked for feisty), at-spi-registryd does not run when
