Empathy looks great from what I've seen and read. But: * it seems to have no protocol backends by default when I open 'Edit > Accounts' * it doesn't look like it can import all the settings I already have configures for Pidgin. ... so it's a bit of work to get started with testing. Maybe later.

While on Hardy, using Compiz Benchmark tool I was able to register 300-250 FPS on my nVidia 8400MG. But in Intrepid it only achieves a max of 50FPS. Even on 3D games I have lower FPS. Any reason for this? Also on Video playback (mostly DivX/XviD, using totem) I can see distortion lines across
