It took me a little longer to finish this but in the last days I have
finished porting enough code that it now works on oneiric with GTK+3.

Hey Guys,
is it just me or does the status selection in the messaging-indicator
take A LOT of space? Wouldn't it be better to get rid of that
functionality and just add a little "do not disturb"-checkbox - similiar
to GNOME3?
