There's many proxy-related questions in Ask! Ubuntu. Most ask how to
automatically or easily switch on/off the proxy settings. But nobody seems
to be suggesting to move the proxy settings to the network interface setup
itself.
In Android devices you set the proxy settings for each network.

It is not an SRU build, the build is for yakkety release. I simply did
it before we had a yakkety name.

Xenial was released yeesterday. Updates now will need to follow the SRU
process (unless the release team make an exception
