Thanks for pointing that out. I maintain xdot, and have fixed that in
0.4-2.

xdot is an interactive viewer for Graphviz's dot language files.
there is nice package (xdot-0.4.1), which installs and runs good, but
does not provide association for *.gv files
In this case, I need to take em manually: add
text/vnd.graphviz=xdot.des
