Using bzr builddeb assumes you can find out what is wrong just from the build logs, maybe you need to update the .symbols files, you need the build tree around for that. Also restarting the build from scratch takes a long time for large packages, e.g. Qt takes well over an hour to build each time. What is bzr pbd?
