I am GNU/Linux user from quite some time, one problm i face quiet often
is the archiving and extracting takes long time and huge resources, are
there any alternating solutions?

I feel that gui versions of the command line tools like tar, zip,
urar, etc are quite slow so I prefer to use command line when dealing
with huge archives. Otherwise the gui tools are ok for smaller
archives.

There is an issue in ubuntu 8.10 beta version as far as
network-manager is concerned. One of the many issues plaguing it atm
is that after every reboot or boot the preferences or variables are
blanked out .

080 is STD code of Hyderabad IIRC. I am not sure why one would need to
add STD code
