In response to hlxshady's previous post, I will sometimes leave my PC on
overnight with Pidgin and firestarter only running and come back to a
slow and unresponsive PC due to Xorg using 100% CPU. I have installed
the patch and it fixes the problem pretty well. Gnome-Do still has about

Using Ubuntu 9.04 64-bit, Firefox crashes related to clipboard. If a
bookmark is clicked after using Ctrl+c or Ctrl+v in Matlab, Firefox
closes. If clipboard is used last by Firefox (Ctrl+c or Ctrl+v) all is

It's not xine-lib.
The effect that made me notice was that in XUL-based apps (Firefox,
Thunderbird), pressing Alt causes any open menus to close. So while
Totem is playing, any Firefox menus will spontaneously close every 30
either,

Just wanted to say thanks and confirm that on my Sony Vaio VGN-Z520N
with dual Intel/Nvidia Video cards, this has allowed me to activate
compiz too!
I had followed the instructions of the Vaio Z Launcpad team, but I
couldn't run the Nvidia card, couldn't even have the driver
If one is hibernate, the other likely is suspend (google translate thinks
pause, so I guess I am close ;)) But I believe all this is not related to that
module message. The module itself is used for cpu powersaving issues (frequency
scaling). So the effects are that your CPU's run at full speed

problem was the script postinst inside den package. There was a line:
update-rc.d cron multiuser 89 11 /dev/null
The syntax for update-rc.d is not correct so that you get the
errormessage.
Fast solution (dangerous if you do a typo!):
mv /usr/sbin/update-rc.d /usr/sbin/update-rc.d-ok

Gdm 2.26 depends on gnome-session, which seems to break Xubuntu ISOs…
Please split it into a minimal package, that only contains the binary,
and the normal package, that contains all scripts and GNOME deps, as in
Debian.
