After the updates on Nov. 25, 2009, I noticed a slight change of the
keyboard layout switching behaviour: when I switched between keyboards,
there was an 'idle' press of the layout change key (in my case it is the
left Win key) (or click on the indicator) between Bgr and Hrv keyboards.

Grrr, looks like this was a transient system problem, it's working fine
today.

Any news on this fix?
This is fairly crippling to me, as one of the main reasons for having a
netbook is its portability!
I have tried all the fixes listed above, but nothing has worked.

A few comments.
I plugged in an ethernet cable and installed bcmwl-kernel-source. After a
reboot the STA driver showed up in Restricted Drivers, but no wireless network
was detected.
Since this was a fresh install, I thought it may be easier to just reinstall
Ubuntu. I did it, but again the

I clicked on the icon on the task bar to connect, which gave me a

I add my vote to the idea to allow the use of the Super key both as a
single key (to open the application menu) AND as modifier (Super+D to
minimize all application, Super+R for Run dialog windows, etc.).
Still Antonio Roberts and others are right about users with different
need than the Windows
