This will make it harder for many people to get ubuntu. I have seen so many
people who wouldn't download anything more than a 100MB because of money or
speed. But from the beginning I did think that giving free CDs was

Its not a bug. Network manager doesnt support pppoe. This has been a major
feature request since a long time but no one has bothered to do it. pon and
poff are the only way you have. And to my knowledge, even WICD cant act as a
pppoe dialer.
