What kind of association? As far as I know, Ubuntu does no formal
associations in colleges. You yourself can take the initiative and

We are moving the repository dvd's to a new mirror server should be
online by this weekend.

Thanks a lot Sanjay. I did follow the steps which are pretty straight
forward and I am able to use my LAN repository now. But the problem that led
me to order DVDs and create local repository has not been resolved. Whenever
I try to do apt-get install, it takes ages to install a software. The norma

You can also try the following simpler method first. No need to go for
apt-mirror
a) First create a local repository as described here from the DVDs -

Was curious to know if there where any open source / Linux / Ubuntu
software that allowed sending of faxes via a mobile broadband (usb
based) data card (in my case its a ZTE EVDO AC8700 device). This
device connects to the /dev/ttyUSBO port and it is a usbserial device.
