OK, it doesnt seem to be related to my script.
In my script I set as root (after booting) CRYPTDISKS_ENABLE to Yes in
/etc/default/cryptdisks.
Then I restart the crypdisks service, enter the password, it tries to mount the
disk, and I put a No in /etc/default/cryptdisks for the next boot.
Works
sorry, ENABLE_AT_STARTUP should be CRYPTDISKS_ENABLE, of course.

The only remaining patch after accounting for upstreaming is the lpi patch,
which is non-trivial to port to the new upstream release. It can be dropped.

I'm having the same bug while testing Lucid in VirtualBox. Interesting
enough, when I insert a real CD the phantom audio CD is replaced by it.
Then when I eject the real CD, the phantom audio CD immediately comes
back.
I'm attaching the requested information when the phantom CD is present.

Ops, sorry, disregard my last comment. The phantom CD is not replaced
when I insert a real one. They exist side by side. I just didn't see it
before.

Confirmed (again) this workaround does the trick. I omitted the chown
step, as that seems like it good cause trouble, doesn't seem to have
been necessary on my machine, but then I haven't rebooted.
Maybe one of the devs could chip in and comment on whether the chown is
a good idea or not.
