I've installed the new 2.6.34 kernel and now I had a new xserver crash
directly while waking up from suspend to disk. This crash doesn't happen
every time I use suspend to disk. The error message is slightly

Confirmed in 9.10 server (running apt-cacher) and 9.10 desktop client,
when trying to upgrade desktop to 10.04. Wasted several hours wondering
why translation files were failing. It's a pity, because upgrading
across the network pulls down many files which should then be cached for
other machines
Workaround below, but I've not tested it:

I tried installing packages from the CD (USB)
I installed dkms patch from pool/main (they were required by bcmwl)
bcmwl from pool/resricted
I got errors about initramfs requiring kernel headers
After rebooting my wireless network started up
I had to repair my packages list

I have got KDE installed now (thanks to umbrello). But when I had this problem
for the first time I hadn't.
It seems my problem is diffrent from yours though, since I see in the logs that
the wrong password has been entered on TTY2. That made my X-server reset or
something.

I'm suffering from random freezes that more or less match the above
description. What I see in the logs is:

The problem is not in the theme but the icons used. You should report
the bug there or try the latest beta (0.9.0) of my theme and see if
there is change because I changed the default icons :

This might be initramfs package not installing properly without a live
network connection
I did manage to get my wireless network going using dpkg packages on
the CD (see 590341) and the initramfs issue was from broken packages
