with this patch it apprently show the full date time on every message which I
dont think will be optimal. see the image.
maybe it should only show 'Thus 10 7:00PM'.. in normal empathy themes full date

It's completely asinine that the battery status indicator is forced to
show Laptop battery 5 minutes until fully charged as a *menu item*.
This is a classic case of needlessly reinventing the wheel, and doing
something surprising to the user in the process. What happens if I

verified that the version of update-manager in proposed, 1:0.134.9,
fixes the issue. I do not see any regressions when performing upgrades

Instead of pkill gnome-panel gnome-panel as someone suggested I just
do:
killall gnome-panel
in Startup Applications. (it was also suggested by someone previosuly)
The gnome-panel will restart by itself and this works fine - I just see
all the time proper icons. I do not have anymore mess.

claims to be invalid?
I guess dkms can't remove the module because of the invalid config.

There's apparently no way to do this thing in a localized way. When
I wrote the patch I could only find %c which is the localized full

I have reproduced the problem with update-manager 1:0.134.8 and have
verified that the version of update-manager in proposed, 1:0.134.9,
fixes the issue. I do not see any regressions when performing upgrades
or updating packages with the version of update-manager in -proposed.

I think a backport would be a good idea, as the device preset format
changed for 0.9.4. If Ubuntu users can easily get 0.9.4 and newer then
it means they can also easily create and install new presets via

Hi Sebastien
Using the recently updated Rythmbox, it will now see files on a gvfs
share (via SMB). It's *really* slow (when compared to using 9.10), but
it does work.
