I just checked with udevadm monitor, and to me it looks as if udev
receives the power cord events correctly:

I have been thinking about it a bit before changing the strings, and Downloaded
Drivers is not a good wording neither. First time when the application is
started, no drivers are downloaded, just displayed as activatable, and when
activating one of them, a dialog appears with Downloading

Nothing happens if I try to run Firefox from the terminal and the only error

But fsck isn't run in the initramfs - the root filesystem is mounted
read-only, and then fsck is run after changing to that root filesystem.
I don't see how including e2fsck.conf in the initramfs would help given

I can confirm that after today's updates to kernel 2.6.32-23 and linux-
backports-modules-wireless 2.6.32-23 for the first time my ASUS EeePC
1000H with RaLink RT2860 works with the .32 kernel and mixed mode
WPA/WPA2 - still 54 mbit and no 'n' connection, though, but that was not

It is really pretty trivial to add aptitude back if you want it - 'apt-
get install aptitude' is not hard for those who can handle aptitude in
the first place. Also, the mention of the server installation shows
that whoever said it hadn't actually checked the maverick server
installation - it's
ubuntu-minimal expresses the minimum set of packages that counts as a
supported Ubuntu system. If you replace the system log daemon, you no
longer have a supported Ubuntu system - it just varies too much. You're

Attempting to install to a btrfs partition from the live CD fails,
because btrfs-tools is not installed on the live CD. We need to add
this, although it's too late for Alpha 2 now.

Hi,
I'm using Ubuntu 10.04 Lucid Lynx (with pulseaudio pre-installed). Connect
your soundcard to USB.
For getting surround support you have to search for the line
; default-sample-channels = 2
in
/etc/pulse/daemon.conf
Remove the ; and alter 2 to 6 for 5.1 support.
Then restart pulseaudio in
