Ok, that was a shot in the dark (as was the symlink). I've removed both
again.

I opened this bug while ISO Testing. Are we going to workaround this
problem forcing the proprietary drivers installation on the first boot
or we will leave it in this way? In this case we would stop ISO testing
UNE with laptops with this kind of video cards.
