Maverick Alpha 3 hangs on boot if using nvidia rather than nouveau
I have the same issue with nvidia kernel but nouveau works fine.
Only an Alt-Sysrq-B gets any response even in recovery mode for
2.6.35-14-generic kernel.
Fortunately, I still had a mainline kernel (2.6.34-020634-generic) from testing
before I upgraded to Maverick from Lucid.

what is the work around? I used google chrome to make a shortcut, but
after adding shortcut to favorites there is blank ugly icon instead of
fancy icon i choosed for this item in menu.
