Hi!
I now understand what you are talking about, but this new request is a
wontfix. The initial problem was clearly an issue when not enough space
was allocated for locale-dependent dates. Now, however, you get what
strftime gives you. We can't interfere with this for each and every
language. If
I hitted this one with a guy I installed Lucid for, and I got good
results restarting the NetworkManager service. The icon is there, it
only doesn't display anything. The NetworkManager service restart forces
the icon to update itself.
Maybe you are loading the NetworkManager service too early...

I don't. It's still a bug. The computer doesn't randomly shut down in
Windows, even with an older BIOS.

If I run msgunfmt on .mo file I see this in the po file header:
Plural-Forms: nplurals=4; plural=(n==1 ? 0 : n%10==1 n%100!=11 ? 1 : n
%10=2 (n%10010 || n%100=20) ? 2 : 3);\n
but later in the file I can only see msgstr[0], msgstr[1] and msgstr[2]
forms. msgstr[3] form is missing everywhere.

I was reinstalling my workstation (machine A) where I had been using
ubuntu 9.04 (64-bit) and Evolution as a mail client with locally stored
files. To prevent loss of my files (including emails) I copied the
entire directory

Oliver, upstream just merged most of the ARM7 patches from sakoman. If
you check sakoman's tree you'll only find now some extra ethernet
patches that are still on development.
And current upstream works fine on my Panda, but just when compiled with
gcc 4.3 or 4.4, so this bug is valid.

Also, this will probably affect Linaro's tree once they rebase again to
include sakoman's patches that got merged.
