I found that deleting the gwibber.sqlite as suggested somewhere didn't
work for me. What did was removing :
.gconf/apps/gwibber/preferences/%gconf.xml
This was under the user profile. Soon as I did this it worked find and
the size of the newly created xml file jumped up by 6 times the amount.
The Apport tracing service suggests to me this was fixed in 0.7:

Can you try an installation with the alternate version, just boot the CD and
press Alt+F1 (or Ctrl+Alt*f1 i don't remember), so it switch to verbose mode
and we can see where it freeze.

I can't reproduce this. I think this is a Picasa Web Albums permissions
issue. By default, Picasa removes geolocation information from uploaded
photos for security reasons (to see why, consider what happens if you
have a public picture called Party at My Place that contains
Same experiences as above, several scanning for changed messages that
never complete. Also can't close Evolution normally. I'm really shocked
that a flagship app like Evolution would have such a critical bug that
gets neglected before a release. This is really hamstringing me at work.
