(based off kernel 2.6.35).
When suspending I get to a state where the console is cleared, a cursor
blinks on the top left, no more disk activity, wifi light is still on

I can confirm the observations of Alexander and Fernando.
On Eee PC 1000H regular Gnome session works smooth and fast. So it's
either mutter or unity. Is it possible to run one without the other in
order to narrow the search down a bit more?

I'm not sure, that it's the same segfault as described in the patch, as, if I'm
not mistaken, the log indicates the segfault happens in libstrongswan-x509.so

found if I create a 512MB swapfile and every time it starts getting a
bit laggy like it's about to freeze up, I tab over to a terminal window
and run:
sudo swapon /path/to/swapfile
sudo swapoff -a

I have never had a problem with either screen going to sleep or netbook
hibernating on lid closure since I implemented the workaround on my
2140.

Quassel is quite normally useful outside the KDE plasma workspace so
this change would be inappropriate in any case.

I'm also having this trouble
I have a GForce 8400 GS PCIe
I've upgraded from 10.04 to 10.10 and tried:
- installing latest (260) driver from nvidia.com
- installing nvidia-current, nvidia-current-modaliases, etc. and activating,
etc.
I don't know what else to try, but I'm still getting monitor
I realise the policy is slightly different, and ideally we'd run the
password through PAM to see what it says, but unfortunately this isn't
possible because the user doesn't exist yet when we're asking the
question and so you can't ask PAM to set its password - we did look at

The fix described in #31 solved the issue, Empathy now connects to MSN
normally.

Yes, I used
sudo sh -c 'echo 1 /proc/acpi/video/GFX0/DOS' and sudo sh -c 'echo 0

But, it is not the same case.
For instance, when I do the following, it recognizes correctly if the
lid is closed or open.
