In our design plan we actually went the other way - lock the launcher in
place for netbooks! Based on what you are saying here, that could be

A few days ago my machine booted into terminal mode, could not get xorg
to run at all. Eventually fixed by deleting /etc/X11/xorg.conf.
I have just tried to recreate the display blanking problem that I
reported here and I cannot recreate it any more.
Not sure where that leaves us, let me know
the natty alpha3 versions still has those conflicts which means you can
open the workspace expose or the application place with the keyboard
since it triggers other effects at the same time, quite confusing

Ok, sorry, you can ignore my last message. Because of the problems I had
with NFS, I assumed that the networking problems of my new machine are
als the fault of NFS. But I checked it more detailes and found out, that
the Ethernet-Adapter of my new machine was faulty. I replaced it and NFS
works
Try dpkg -S /usr/bin/screen. If it states diversion by screen-
profiles to: /usr/bin/screen.real, but you don't actually have screen-
profiles installed, you may be experiencing bug #727741 which may have
left you with an old and crashy version of screen.

I have the same problem but I it only occurs if my external hard disk is
connected.
When I unplug it, the installer continues to the next screen.
