This doesn't sound like an X bug. Instead it sounds like the indicator
icons haven't been found properly.

That looks to me awfully like an entirely idle gpu.
My hypothesis is that the driver has missed the vblank interrupt, so the
MSC compiz is waiting on will never be raised.
Could you please add ‘drm.debug=0x1’ to your kernel command line and

Confirmed. The issue here is that the ldb module interface has changed
between libldb0 and libldb1, and the memberof.so module built by sssd is
still using the old API - so libldb can't do anything with it.
There are new upstream versions out, that probably add support for the
new libldb.

With horror I just noticed a major bug in Natty: Wanda the Fish
disappeared!
I think this is is an unacceptable regression, and we can't possibly
release like that. Mankind already decimated the worlwide fish reserve
to a deplorable rest [1], and

feel a little like partial failure, it would still be better than
current state.

I have a Lenovo Think Pad Edge 13 (Intel) - are you sure asus is
what I should put in there? Might want to think about renaming that
option, whatever it does.
It's named after the first machine having an ext mic at 0x1b and int mic
at 0x1a, just as yours. You can try it if the problem reoccurs.

because that has been already fixed with the update of ubuntu-mono_0.0.27.
However, notification area is still broken.
I cannot see NM-applet icon there, just a broken icon image.
the only workaround is to downgrade
I forgot to mention, I have Empathy's various folders syncing with
Ubuntu One (doesn't do anything for the accounts, but it keeps my logs
backed-up in case I accidentally them). I kinda doubt it'd be the
source of a segfault though...
