The issue is still present in the latest daily iso.
But when disabling modsetting and all ACPI the system actually runs stable. I
still haven't tried disabling any of them individually.
Hope this helps. I can't install the main line kernel as i haven't been
able to install the system because of
Setting nomodeset when booting the live cd solves the issue.

This appears to have been solved, although some lines are now nolonger

But the name of the installation step i still cut of. it should say

Your probably right. The issue is with any thing that has an open
dialog, like gedit or thunderbird.
I attached a screenshot to make things more clear.
I also notced that the bookmarks are also not pressent.

Yes I know they are harmless but they should still be fixed. In support forums
we keep getting users packing over the warnings that appear in the boot of the
10.04 live cd, this would just add to that.

After a period of inactivity evolution will try to ping the imap server
before preforming any action, many imap servers don't support this and
evolution hangs until the connection times out, and then preforms the
