After rebooting the Desktop Effects is again set to None and all windows
are again missing there boarder and button. Switching Desktop Effects to
Normal still fixes it but it's not viable to have to do this every day.

Quick parafrace of what i was able to understand:
Installed 9.10 on a Acer one using a USB-key, Ubuntu was given a 30GB partision
after the windows partition.

In lucid with firefox 3.6, going to file-import... tells you that there
where no programs containing bookmarks or passwords. you can then click
a button that says Undo to close the window. Next is grayed out and
there is no other options.

This is also true for Karmic.
I also tested it briefly on Lucid, there it didn't seam to work at all,
but more testing is needed here as i was on a buggy test machine.
