I do not get video, only audio when I use the default Movie Player on
AVI files. I have to use another video program such as XINE to view
both video and audio. I do not see any performance enhancement overall.

Backlight not restored when moving the mouse

Adding lightdm because I've discovered another issue:
1)boot Ubuntu
2)leave pc idle without logging in
3)after 10 minutes (as I've set in screen settings) the screen goes standby
4)I cannot restore backlight even using keyboard shortcut (I think because I'm
not logged in)

Ravioli your log is about gnome-keyring-daemon, I don't know if this is the
cause of this bug or not, but it affect any application that store passwords
into gnome-keyring

In oneiric I cannot use gnome-alsamixer, because it crashes
(segmentation fault) whenever I start it...

It happened to me as well and I am using Onieric Beta 2, with all the
updates up to right now. However, besides informing me of the crash,
nothing else seem to have happened. I can use the OS normally.
