I can't seem to reproduce the problem anymore. That's funny. I was
trying it with Gedit before when it wasn't working. Now I try it with
Gedit (text file) and Gimp (image file) and it gets added to Zeitgeist's
log as it should. I guess this can be marked as invalid.

change their password on next login, which results in them being locked
out of their own computer.
This bug should be critical. Just hiding the option in Gnome Control
Center would be sufficient to workaround the bug for now.
This bug still occurs in Oneric daily. It's more prominent there because
shutting down seems to take longer than ever before.
Could this be fixed by simply making the shutdown sequence kill FIRST
the piece of code that watches for the lid to close?

This affects me too. Some of the songs have crossloaded to Ubuntu One.
Those songs have also downloaded to my computer. The other songs just
don't move - they don't crossload, they don't download. Pretty critical

I also seem to be experiencing this bug, on Karmic. I usually suspend my
computer rather than shutting it down. Although the Software Sources
program is set to check for updates daily, it has been 5 days since
the last check, according to Update Manager.

chipset, but I just realised that it hasn't been mentioned on this bug
report.

strange problem. The plasmoids that are in a dark colour only show their
border, not their contents (as if the main part of the plasmoid was
transparent). This happens with:
