I'm marking the installation-guide change won't fix, have closed the
Debian bugs (or attempted to do so), and intend to revert this as part
of bug #347207. There are other ways to achieve the goal (which isn't a
very good goal anyway), and it's easier to stay in line with trunk.

When building on lpia, ubiquity 1.11.18 did not get ${shlibs:Depends}
dependencies inclusion (dpkg-gencontrol: warning: unknown substitution
variable ${shlibs:Depends}). As a result, installation as part of an
image does not cause installation
environment, so you end up with the dual environment you've
encountered, and I'm unsure of an easy way to identify all that would
need to be removed.

When an application launched from within hildon-desktop crashes, hildon-
desktop crashes (the crash is not trapped). Within the Ubuntu X MID
image, this appears to be an X crash, as hildon-desktop is maintaining

I can certainly reproduce this in intrepid. I wonder if it's the
architecture of SD storage, as the storage adaptor itself is hotplugged,
rather than just the device. Does anyone have hotplug PCI/PCIe SATA or
SCSI adaptors who might be able to check if this behaviour also happens
for that
Understood, but it's not something that this bug can help fix. Install
gstreamer0.10-plugins-bad for most of the GNOME apps. For doom2, file a
separate bug against doom2. For wine, file a separate bug against wine.

After IRC review with Sarah Hobbs and Paul Gevers, this package appears
not to need any merge, and a sync is preferred, as events of the past 18
months have made the Ubuntu changes unnecessary.

remaining issues aren't ones that can be solved at a broad level. Sound
card configuration needs detailed bugs about specific cards that don't
work. Applications that don't work as installed with MIDI need specific
bugs
