I've backported binutils (2.21.52.20110606-1ubuntu1) gcc-4.5

nvidia-current wfm, but only after a reboot. Logout alone doesn't work (it
returns to a console, instead of to gdm), and gdm isn't restartable. The logs
show the kernel complaining about mismatching API, but unity didn't ask for a
reboot (the driver needs to touch /var/run/reboot-required).
@didrocks: oh, ok (and for the records, it wfm with a GTX 260 and a
9600GS)

Excellent. Thanks!
Actions for me:
- land the patch in -beta
- grab the detection part of the fix from trunk and land it in -dev
and wait for -stable to reach M11.

no, but the bug is still there. I get it several times a day, yet it's
difficult to find the exact steps.

It's gcc 4.6 only right?

Seems it's the lang-pack deb. I don't see anything wrong with it. Most
probably a false positive from your anti-virus.
I'd be curious to see if you can manually grab the deb from the launchpad page:
https://launchpad.net/~chromium-daily/+archive/ppa/+packages
it's an https link and should pass
Same for the 2nd
