A workaround for this problem is to reset gnome-shell like this: hit
ALT-F2 and type 'r' in the appearing textbox. After the reset the
indicators will magically appear.

If i do 'mpv -v -vo vdpau --vd=ffh264vdpau,ffvc1vdpau, movie.m2ts' ,
i get a high cpu usage. So indeed hardware acceleration does not work.
However, if i use 'mpv -v -vo vdpau --hwdec=vdpau movie.mt2s' , i get a

The current version of libtxc_dxtn_s2tc0 ( libtxc-dxtn-s2tc0 0~git20110809-3 )
causes etqw (Enemy Territory Quake Wars) to crash. After i manually installed
deb-package version 0~git20121217-1 from the Debian site, it works perfectly!
