I guess it's a timeout problem, because it usually happens when I'm too eager
to open the Dash right after a cold boot (those can be very long). The files
scope is quite long to come up too, but at least it comes up.

@Tim Gilbert : I confirm, that this is a different bug than the bug
linked by @Despernal for the X550. On my UX303LA the touchpag works fine
as a mouse too (PS2 Logitech Wheel Mouse detected out-of-the-box :
touchpad is ok, left button and right button are ok too, no two finger
scrolling). And
I suppose that the reverse engineering from the Windows driver
(http://dlcdnet.asus.com/pub/ASUS/nb/DriversForWin8.1/SmartGesture/SmartGesture_Win81_64_VER2214.zip)
is not an option ?

The version 2.0.5 available, while quite outdated, is working out of the

On my computers, the Dash opens quickly the first time, but it takes too long
to populate (and therefore, to be useable), which is a bit annoying, and

I found a tutorial on internet that explains how to do the partitions
manually if the installer doesn't detect Windows 8, but according to the
tutorial, no matter about what we select for the boot program during the
installation, since the UEFI partition exists, the installer

From a (very) quick look on the Gabble branch, it seems that all the
channel messages are now sent through OTR (if built with it), even when
it has not been activated. Is that really what we want?
Also, shouldn't we use it only for contact channels?

regression that appeared after upgrading from Kubuntu 13.10 to 14.04. My
computer has a discrete nVidia card (hybrid SLI system, on ASUS UL80VT).

I have the same problem with the last kernel (3.13.0-24), I can't adjust
the brigthness. When I try to adjust the brigthness, I can see the
animation on the screen but I doesn't change anything, the brigthness
stay at low level. I must use the kernel 3.11.20 to adjust the
brigthness.

Yeah, i read it, but the actually proposed solution doesn't work with the
new kernel and uefi.
