While trying to find a workaround for bug 1921862, we tried building a
rootfs of Ubuntu Desktop from a PPA that contains a new version of
ubiquity and zsys in focal.
Current version in the archive:
ubiquity | 20.04.15| focal
ubiquity | 20.04.15.11 |
We tried the workaround to add the packages as dependencies of Ubiquity
and rebuilding an ISO with the new Ubiquity and the dependencies pulled
automatically. Unfortunately, the result is not what is expected.
The packages are installed in the live session and the target file system.

Right, it is related to manual/guided installation.
In manual installation mode the recovery key widget is not displayed but
the value is set still, then the code fails to detect the target
installation disk because it searches for the value set by partman-auto,
which is empty since partitioning

Actually the build passes with proposed enabled but I didn't identify
which component makes it pass.
The error is due to the mock of the 'ip' command not being found during
the test. On a real machine it finds the installed version of 'ip' but
in the builder this command is not installed.
