Wow, I reported this bug 12 years ago. It is still not fixed?
No offence, but I switched to Linux Mint Gnome edition half a century
ago. Maybe it is due to Mint, or due to Gnome, I don't know, but since
then I am not affected by this bug anymore.

1. Open LibreOffice
2. Create and save a document
3. Write busily and save regulary using Ctrl+S
4. Shut down the computer by removing the power cable

In Pidgin 2.7.9 I have a similar problem: if the Default-with-Skype
emoticon theme is selected, only some emoticons appear as a rectangle
containing a cross. I think this issue has been partially fixed. I
attach a snapshot.

@franchus3: I have the same problem but with different hardware. I'm
using an old PCMCIA and I solve the problem by unplugging and then
plugging the card. Can you do something like that? Maybe turn it OFF/ON?

'Backgrounds and Emblems' have now been removed from nautilus master, see [1].
Closing this as OBSOLETE.

Tom, I'm sure you didn't need to uninstall/install Gimp. Just by
restarting the PC this issues are solved.
