someone holding interrupts disabled for too long (which can be caused by
either a long delay in a critical section, or a deadlock on a spinlock),
so they are quite hard to debug without all the info other than the

so it fails to insert it, but you say that later the driver loads fine.

2.6.20-10 contains beta quality HPA support for libata. Please give it
a test by booting it, and look for Host Protected Area detected.
If you're feeling brave, boot with libata.ignore_hpa=1 to disable the
host protected area (which should enable your whole disk). Please attach

Ok. Decided just to disable it by default. We can also DMI blacklist (or
whitelist) MMCONFIG on different boards based on HW Certification
testing.
